X Trianguli Australis

The slightest optical aid will show this neat little red variable, which lies right on the border with Apus, in the far South of the sky. Its range is unfortunately rather small at one magnitude, but if you take a look at it once a month you can follow its changes. Nearby is T TrA, a star which was thought to be variable but is probably constant.
