AG Carinae
AG Car is not far from eta, and is in many ways a similar object; very large, hot, powerful and unstable. It lies in a field containing several binocular variables; GG close by is a faint (9.1 - 9.5) eclipsing binary, and the nearby T Car, which is probably not variable at all, is of the seventh magnitude. The other main variable in the chart is the red star BZ, which can be esimated once a month.
